About Layla

I have been a yoga enthusiast for over 20 years practicing in India, Thailand, Egypt and the UK, with some inspirational teachers.


After years of practicing and trying different styles of yoga I wanted to finally take the exciting leap into teacher training, driven by a desire to share my love for yoga with others as well as personally develop.  Now being a certified Yoga Teacher I am really excited to bring all of my experience and knowledge to you.

 

My background is in sport and I have a passion for ensuring we all stay strong as we get older.  I want to be able to get out of a chair myself when I am 80 and want to support others to be able to too!

Layla's Yoga

Classes focus on the delicate balance of strengthening and stretching.

The number of people who have said to me, 'I can't touch my toes so I can't do Yoga' is too many, so not only do I want to be able to help people become stronger and release the tension they may be holding to stop them touching their toes. I would also say, bend your knees and you will find your toes!

 

Classes will vary but they will always be a flow and you go where you need to, as each day is different.  We will look to give you the stretch you need and your body deserves along with building strength throughout the class. 

 

We will always finish with relaxation and time to enjoy and appreciate the effort of your practice, wherever it has taken you!
